Day 6 of Falloween: Kat Von D.(on't)

No tea, no shade, but I'm not too sure about Kat Von D. This post was going to be a super cute Hocus Pocus inspired makeup/outfit (peep my bell sleeves, channeling all my witchy vibes). However, once I started applying my shadow, I knew I had to do my first negative review on anything!

My wonder friend, Audrey, gifted me this palette to use for this very reason, and I was SO excited y'all. I instantly saw all the shades and was inspired with so many different looks.

Upon application, I noticed there wasn't much pigmentation or blendability. Her shades are GORGEOUS, but it didn't seem to transfer to my lid that way.

I wanted to create a green smokey eye with the shades la petite mort, shibari, and whip.

I wanted a Winifred Sanders inspired smokey eye with those beautiful green shades pictures, but it went on blotchy, and not the smooth texture I had pictured.

Now, this isn't to say I'll never give Kat Von D another shot, as a matter of fact I'll probably play with this palette more! There are many products of hers that I want to give a try, and if you LOVED this palette, I want to know why, so that I can love it too! Better luck next time, Kat!

See you all for Day 7, my little Kats!

Love and Magnolias,

Jayna
